JKDCC is very much concerned and expresses serios dismay over the non enhancement of postgraduate (PG) seats in SKIMS srinagar. We have meritorious aspirant doctors across the state who are keen to excell in the medical field and serve the state with added knowledge and capacity.

JKDCC with its member association viz Doctors Association Kashmir, Doctors Association Jammu, Chenab Valley Doctors Assoction, All Ladakh Doctors Welfare Association, and other associations stress upon honorable Chief Minister and honorable Health ninister to take up the issue seriously with union health minister JD Nadda Ji and enhance the PG capacity in SKIMS without any delay. Besides fulfilling the aspirants of ambitious doctors it will help the people of state by increasing the number of qualified specialists in the state. Convener JKDCC, Dr Tak has stressed upon the honorable Chief Minister Mohatarma Mehbooba Ji to intervene personally in this regard and get it done without any delay.

Though we have managed some incearse in the seat quota at Government Medical colleges however we are still deprived of an increase in the PG seats at SKIMS. We have already approached various concerned quaters be it SKIMS authorities, secretoriate and health minster but we have failed to seek enhancement of PG seats in SKIMS. To stress for our just and genuine demand we shall be register our joint protest by holding a rally from GMC Jammu to press club Jammu and at SKIMS on March 19th at 3PM.

JKDCC at the same time stresses government to enact a composite health policy by implenting the proper caderisation of medical officers and consultants besides respecting the seniority and abolosing the incharge and caretaker system in administrative positions of health department which otherwise is demoralizing the senior and deserving doctors thus affecting the Woking standards.
